How to reset Cambridge BT100 Bluetooth audio-receiver

My Cambridge BT100 Bluetooth audio-receiver stopped working suddenly (no blue led when double clicking the device). It's only 4 years old and I hope I don't have to buy a new one. Is it possible to reset the device? I tried pushing the button already for 30 seconds, no luck. I connected the device directly on my cambridge amplifier cxa60 as well but again no luck.

I got rid of my BT100 and bought a iFi Zen Blue much better unit and it supports better Codecs which can improve the sound if you are using a decent source that also supports the Codecs and I also use the CXA60.
