Home Cinema on a low budget

A friend has been asking my opinion on a new home cinema system with a budget of £250. He wants the Yamaha rxv365 and Yamaha nsp270 with a bit left for cables.

He doesn’t want second hand and has a very small room so satellites preferable. The main sources are a Sony bdp-350 and xbox 360.

Any ideas, I’m stuck?

This is an extremely tight budget for a receiver and speaker package. Stands and cabIes will add further to the cost.

I would suggest he saves up and gets better quality kit than those suggested.
