Hey guys

I'm getting hiss thru my surround set-up. It's very obvious from 0.0db all the way up, on all channels. Any ideas? I'd really appreciate some advice. This is my set-up

Sony STRDA2400ES (Brand new)

PS3

Laserdisc Player

Kef 3005SE speakers

Infocus IN82Projector

I've tried unplugging everything including the Sub except the speakers and it still persists. It's annoying. surely an amp this new shouldn't be doing this? I've re-calibrated the speakers but no joy.

This is the 2nd Sony2400es I've had in 3 weeks after the other had a faulty HDMI output. Surely my luck can't be that back. notoiced it when lying on the floor near them...one second there was nothing, then suddenly a hiss kicked in and it hasn't gone away since.

Thanks guys

I'm having the exact same problem.

Tried watching Dark Knight (BR) like so:
PS3 > HDMI > Sony DA2400 > HDMI > LCD

Loads of hiss, wasn't nice. Brand new receiver too.

The speakers are Mission m34i's and they do not hiss on my Cambridge stereo amp.

The hiss is only apparent when actually playing a film.
I don't think it's the audio on the disc as there is no hiss when playing the film through my old hifi.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
