Have the Bravia 7 and it's a great screen.

Two things though WHF -

"The Bravia 7's Filmmaker Mode actually works as intended, retaining natural colours and convincing blacks without looking flat or lifeless."

The Bravia 7 doesn't have a Filmmaker mode (unless I have missed an update) and one of the headings in the article (Price) refers to the TCL C8K.

Come on, get it right please!

I don’t seem to have Filmmaker mode on my Sony Bravia 7 either, having just checked the picture settings while watching Sky Q.

Now that begs the question - whoever reviewed it, were they sat in front of the TV when they wrote that?

From the AVForums Bravia 7 review...

"The Sony BRAVIA 7 TV lacks a Filmmaker Mode (FMM), a now widely supported industry initiative for viewing content as intended. Instead, Sony offers its accurate picture preset, Professional mode, which we found to be the closest to industry standards after performing a factory reset and measuring all picture presets. This is the recommended mode for viewing content accurately on this TV."

Do you enjoy Filmmaker or Professional mode as delivered? Our LG from 2022 has a similar thing for UHD content but it was far too ‘warm’ to my eyes. I’ve tweaked it so it is now roughly halfway between the factory setting and what I have as ‘Normal’.

FMM might be fine for indoor scenes, but was nothing like for outdoor images. It’s easy enough in our living room to look outside at the grass and sky for a real comparison, so I know the settings are too lush.

If you are asking me I don’t like either, I like standard or normal setting modes.
