Hi

I currently have a Marantz SR5002 AV Receiver, CD6002 and B&W 601 S3's (Fronts - connected to AV Receiver). The CD player is connected via Chord analogues to the AV Receiver.

1. Will I get better sound if I get a stereo power amp or integrated amp?

2. If so, which is best option: stereo power amp or integrated amp?

Regards

Hi, does your AV amp have pre-out sockets?

If so, then the best way would be an integrated amp - you would connect the pre-outs from the AV amp into an aux input on the integrated.

The integrated would almost certainly give better sound quality than the AV, so you get the best of both worlds...

The AV receiver has pre-outs. In this setup, when adjusting volume I will only do it on the AV Receiver?

When using an AV source, yes. However if using the CD through the integrated (recommended for best sound quality), then you would only adjust the integrated.
