Hi, I need to know the real power output of my Yamaha RX-V473 and which would be the best bookshelf speakers to replace the kit speakers that came with it. I looked on Yamaha's own website for the spec but it's all written in gobbledygook to me.
5-channel 575W = 115W x 5 (6 ohms, 1 kHz, 0.9 % THD, 1 ch driven)
400W = 80W x 5 (6 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz, 0.09 % THD, 2 ch driven)
675W = 135W x 5 (6 ohms, 1 kHz, 10 % THD, 1 ch driven, JEITA)
The kit speakers were 100w 6ohm, but I can't see any that match on Richer Sounds web site. I want to spend less than £100 but I need them to be very good quality. Also I can't fit floor stander's in the living room. Any help appreciated thanks. (they are going to be used as replacement front speakers in an AV setup).
