That really was a great price.Got a great price on it from Peter Tyson. Only £1550.
Won't the plastic piece push back onto the stump?....not that there's any harm in it staying like that.View attachment 8510
Finally worked out how to create a .jpg from a .heic image on this iPhone.
Anyway this picture explains things better than I can. The upper black speaker socket now has no plastic end bit for the internal pin. The red one next to it does.
And yes, it’s BFA connectors on the end of the speaker wire.
I've got a feeling they're not actually BFA plugs fitted to your cable. And yes, it’s BFA connectors on the end of the speaker wire.
Yes, I noticed in the Cyrus manual I posted a link to above doesn’t actually state to use BFA. It says use the supplied, and BFA also fit! Very curious.I've got a feeling they're not actually BFA plugs fitted to your cable.
They may be the hollow pin (zig zag split) type -and they obviously make contact but BFA plugs are slightly wider and are not hard to push in - so would not have caused the plastic piece to detach.
Did you look for the 4 BFA plugs that Cyrus supply with new amps?
I think they’re what I know a Z plugs. The concept seems to be that they fit your safety shield compact sockets, and also fit more conventional banana sockets. It seems like that aim isn’t universally achieved!I’ve stuck a photo of the plugs below.
I’m a bit of a dunce with jacks/plugs, so I’m sure I would get used to using them after a while. But yeah, they do seem all uses master of none kinda plugs!I think they’re what I know a Z plugs. The main thing is you have a system you’re delighted with!
They are what I thought they were going to be - and they are not BFA plugs.I’ve stuck a photo of the plugs below.
