I have the following components:

1. Toshiba XF355D TELEVISION

2. Yamaha YSP40D DIGITAL SOUND PROJECTER

3. Sky HD Box

4. Panasonic DVD RECORDER

CURRENTLY , THE 2 HDMI CABLES FROM THE TV ARE CONNECTED AS FOLLOWS: HDMI-1 to DVD. HDMI-2 to YSP40D output. THE SKY HD BOX HAS A SEPERATE HDMI CABLE WHICH IS CONNECTED TO AUX 1 ON THE YSP40D

Due to a lack of experience/knowledge, call it what you may, I am still not 100% convinced that i am getting the best sound/picture from my equipment. I have doubts as to whether the HDMI cables are linked up correctly. Any advice/comments would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you run an optical cable for Sky HD as it only outputs 2.0 stereo over HDMI. If anything, I would connect them the other way around, i.e. Sky HD to TV via HDMI (plus optical to YSP) and the DVD recorder to the YSP via HDMI as presumably it outputs surround sound over HDMI. Then run another HDMI to the TV.
