I never play my system louder that -35db, though my living room is probably smaller than yours (small rented flat suitable for a student). Plus I have people living immediately below and to the side. I miss my old house (have tenants in while I'm studying), where I could crank up the volume a little more. Having hard of hearing neighbours also helped!

strapped..is the dynamic range set to max on your avr? if not i think the sub may be somewhat muted..

Yes, the receiver is set to "max," though the sub' sounding heaps better with the new cable and some subtle adjustments. I'm slowly being won over and starting to think it was £200 very well spent (I can't imagine buying anything better for the price, unless perhaps second-hand, but that's always a gamble).

Delivery was just after 9am this morning....

Not a scratch on it...perfect condition.....

Time to bed the sub in again...

No changing of settings till the sub beds in really (using the same settings I had on my last one)....it's been left on most of the day, with Freeview channel 18 going through it (music channel)...

It's starting to sound really good again!!!

yea it seems to work fine with the MA's pete. i still havn't got it tuned totally to my liking, but im very happy with it so far..

ive currently got a pair of 20 year old mission 760i's doing rear duty pete (got them yday for e50), but ill replace them with a pair of bx1's in a few weeks. to be honest i dont want to spend much more money on my a.v. system, ive got to buy a new stereo amp soon too, so the bx1's are as high end as its gonna get for rears..

probably, but i can get a brand new pair of rx1's locally for e400. if i was going to spend a bit more id get those as they are great stereo speakers in their own right. i better stop typing or ill talk myself into buying them
