dm 601 to cm1, worthy upgrde??

hi i am thinking of upgrading my speakers, i have bw dm601 s1 at the moment, there is nothing wrong with them and i have had them for almost 20 years.

i am kind of looking to get a pair of speakers which will give more contrlled and tight(subtle) bass and overall more clarity in sound.

cm1 are my obious choice because they are said to be the upgraded version of dm series. if any 1 of think i should demo any other brands with in that price bracket, please do.

i have a equally old mf e10 amp which i am very with having recently auditioned mf's newer model m3i

your opinions and suggestions appreciated

I would not describe the CM1s as subtle or detailed. Whopping bass from a little box is amazing, but you won't get clarity, but a very warm and coloured sound.
