Digital Sound problem

Good Morning All I hope someone on here might be able to help me ) I've just taken delivery of an Pioneer PDP-4280XD and a PS3 after much research and reading on this forum over the last few months but whilst setting up I'm struggling to get digital sound through the system. Here is my setup: The PS3 is connected via an HDMI cable to the TV, then I've used Optical Out from the TV to my AV amp Sony STR-DB930 but if I change the Input Mode on the amp to "Digital (Optical)" I get no sound and the display says "Unlock" Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this? Thanks for your time and I hope the above makes sense

Chances are the TV only outputs digital signal from its internal Freeview tuner, not external inputs. Try connecting the PS3 optical out directly to the amp.
