different types of screen for Sony and Samsung TVs ?

Some French websites report that some TVs sold by Sony and Samsung use different manufacturers and even different technologies under the same reference.

Some 37'' TV would be AU Optronics MVA panels i.s.o Sony/Samsung PVA panels .

Other Samsung TV models would also have different panels with noticeable differences , under the same reference .

After having been criticized for that same business practice on their PC monitors , has Samsung used that same trick for their TVs ?

I haven't seen any direct reports on this, but I would say it is very likely.

Many manufacturers have several suppliers for their components to secure flexibility and supply. As you also mention it is well known for the Samsung PC monitors, and when I bought my Dell monitor I also knew I could either get one with a PVA panel or one with an IPS panel.
