DAC or Amplifier Upgrade

Hi all,

I'm thinking to upgrade my system. I already decided to keep the B&W 685 S2 speakers. I use them with a Cambridge Audio Azur 651A amplifier and I was thinking to add a Arcam irDAC to the system.

Instead of buying the DAC should I sell the Cambridge, add some money and get an amplifier twice the price, say £700-900 range, which has an integrated DAC already?

If I decide to buy the DAC will it work fine later if I upgrade to an amplifier with integrated DAC?
