Hi All,

This is my first post and I'm in need of some help.

Have just bought a cyrus 8 xpd and will be connecting it to an i-pod and a pure dig radio until funds allow the purchace of a cd transport and an arcam tuner.

I have KEF Q1 speakers at the moment and will also upgrade these as funds allow.

What is the best way of connecting the i-pod and radio to the amp and which cables would you advise?

I would suggest one of these, but make sure that the files on your IPod are in a lossless format or they will sound rubbish through your 8XPd

What is the best way of connecting the i-pod and radio to the amp and which cables would you advise?

for i-pod the one of the best and inexpensive ways to connect it to your hi-fi would be Onkyo ND-S1 via coax digital on your amp. it takes pure digital data from i-pod and sends it to the DAC. if you played lossles files you coud even forget about a CD transport. as for cable; any 75 Ohm digital coax lead will do.
