This morning took delivery of a set of Chord Chameleon Silver Plus interconnects to replace the Crimson Plus in my hi-fi. I've done a quick A/B test using "Pendulum-In Silico". I'd expected some difference in sound but it's amazing the change that has occurred. I've always been happy with the Crimson, but as my components have improved thought they deserved a treat. Right from the opening cymbals on track 1 it sounded like the cymbals were made from thicker steel (actually thinking about it, I'll try out Faith No More-Digging the Grave, as that's always sounded a bit wrong, so might now be better) Everything seems to have more pace & weight about it, it's like they've gone back to the studio and re-engineered the album. Are they worth 3 times the price of the Crimson ? I say yes. But if you're on a budget that's still great. In fact keeping mine incase I ever add a cd to my HC

I have had silver plus cables in my system (between receiver and amp) for a while and find them great, but they are the only ones i've had so cant compare them to others. However i recently bought a new sub (bk xxls400) and was thoroughly underwhelmed with it's performance given its rave reviews. it was connected with a Monster cable from a previous sub, bit the bullet and ordered a silver plus for it thinking it probably wasn't worth it but what the hell. The result was night and day i had to turn the gain down on the sub from 12 o clock to 10, now have both lovely subtle bass and room shaking thump depending on whats required, best thing i've done

ps loving Pendulum-In Silico too
