Speaker postage and packing

I have some floorstanders to sell, not getting many offers on ebay, just wondered what's the best way to get them packaged and posted, without costing a fortune?

I’ve had success just wrapping them in copious amounts of bubble wrap.

The difficulty for floorstanders is finding a decent sized box.

If you’ve disposed of the boxes, you might be able to get some from the manufacturer/importer, or a local Hifi dealer.

Personally, I’ve only ever posted or shipped speakers with their original packaging. Otherwise I’ve driven miles to collect them!

I realise it widens your audience if you post. There are dedicated services - is Shiply one? - that might be suitable, if it’s more like an individual courier.

I've used Shipleys more than a few times, it's almost like a tender where couriers are completing to provide the best rates.
Also, on eBay you do have the option for buyer to collect ( I understand not everybody likes strangers turning up on your door!) but this would likely to attract more buyers if they're able to save the extra costs for postage.

Managed to sell them now, local pickup thankfully.
