Hi guys your opinions are needed again!!!

At the moment I only have a standard sky box. What is the best way to connect this to a plasma, my options are either through my Panny DMR EX75 with video upscaler and out through HDMI. Or just basic scart lead connection and let the tv upsale to the 1080i.

What do you think is the best option, as I have heard that having two upscalers in the equation will reduce picture quality?

Thanks.
I think i would just go the scart route via RGB but most importantly upgrade to sky HD asap lol
Thanks, What input & output connections are on the back of the sky hd box? is there an optical out to connect to a amp or home cinema system?

Indeed there is. And HDMI to connect to the TV (this is the one case where you don't want HDMI to the amp as this only produces stereo sound - you need the optical to get the 5.1 sound).

Thanks for that professorhat.

Can anyone recommend a decent 5.1 decoder/amp with speakers. I will still use my Panny DMREX75 to play my dvds so the amp would need at least 2 optical inputs. 1 for sky HD and 1 for the dvd player.

Thanks
