Advancements in picture quality 2009 panasonic plasma to latest led / LCD

Hi there

i have an old panasonic gt10 plasma

its 5 year old tech but tbh I'm still quite happy with the picture. I have all the smart stuff through sky now tv or chromecast

is there some latest model tvs that I can pick up for around 500 or 600 pounds 48 to 50" that will blow away my tvs picture quality 3d and smart is a nice to have I'm looking for an uplift in size and picture quality really more than anything

i bought a budget 39 inch panny last year it was ok but sd image noisier then my old gt10 and struggles with busy images such as rock concers so was a bit dissapointed

Any recommendations please?

From my auditioning of tv sets, you are likely to be disappointed - particularly at your price point. For all the improvements made to led lcds the one thing they still don't do as well as Panny plasmas is, Motion.

In fact many £1k+ sets actually make me feel very slightly queasy if stood up watching, in a store. Much more work needs to be done, so keep your money dry and be happy in the knowlege that your Panny is still a force to be reckoned with.

I ended up getting the samsung ue48h6400 but I've replaced my much newer panny led couldn't bear to give up my main plasma I guess
