I bought a Sony STR-DG820 from my local Sony Centre yesterday but could not help thinking I had made the wrong choice. So I took it back today.
I have just ordered a Yamaha DSP-AX763 Amp together with Jamo A102HCS5 5.1 Speakers. I also packaged with it 1 new HDMI, 1 optical cable and all the Speaker cable I need!
I have spent ages deliberating and when it came down to it I wanted the (hopefully) better sound of the Yam vs the connectivity of the Sony. I bought all of this from www.mangovision.co.uk today. So far I can not fault there service, time spent with me and friendly advice. To top it off they put together a fantastic package deal for me - too good to refuse!
My complete system now reads:-
Sony KDL-40W4500, Sony BDP-S350, Sony DVD Recorder, Yamaha DSP-AX763 and Jamo A102HCS5 5.1.
This should last me years I hope! Can not wait to hear it all set up as a newbie to all of this! It should all be at my doorstep by Friday...
