Blue Bands

Recently my Pioneer PDP508D plasma has devoloped a small blue vertical band down each side of the screen. I view all my stations through a sky+ HD box which is connected to a Pioneer SCLX81 reciever with one HDMI connection to the TV.

The blue bands only occur on some stations ie ITV, Channel 4 and some of the Sky channels.

Can anyone help.

Do you have the Sky box set to 1080i? if so (as I susspect) switch the Sky box to AUTO and the blue bands should go.

I have exactly the same problem so will try the fix suggested. It doesnt happen on HD channels and not all SD channels

Yes changing to auto does remove the blus bands but also changes the picture quality and increases the size of the sky information window, I have always had the sky setting at 1080i but this problem has just recently occured.
