I currently have a Panny DMP-BD35. I'm wondering if the new sony S370 would be an improvement. Obviously the bd35 is getting on now and tech is moving along swiftly. Input appreciated. Also thinking of upgrading my speaker package. I run a Denon AVR-1909 with Tannoy SFX5.1 package with a M.A RD180HD center. All input appreciated.

Jamesf348,

Yes, the Sony S370 edges the Panasonic DMP-BD35 for blu-ray performance - picture and sound.

The trump card of the Sony is that it has so much more to offer - BBC i Player etc.

The front three channels - Left, Right & Centre of your speaker package must be of the same make to ensure a cohesive and seamless soundstage.

So maybe get the smaller RD90 monitor audio's to match the center and keep the rear satellites?

Yes! Look out for a sub to complete the package and you have a nice system!

If you can, try R45's for the rear, ideally R90's.
