Hi

I am looking for a replacement for a Playstation 3 regarding blu-ray play back; my PS3 has developed a drive fault just over a year since purchase and Sony want to charge me £99 to get it repaired.

I am very reluctant to get it repaired due to the principle of owning it for little more than a year and Sony's reluctance to help, i am thinking of using that £99 towards a stand alone blu-ray player but would like some suggestions as to which players are at roughly the £150 margin with comparable or better picture and sound than the PS3.

Any help will be appreciated and if possible just because i want to cut off my nose to spite my face no Sony models :)

Thanks

Either that or Bigboss has got an exclusive and pioneer has merged with panasonic instead of sharp.

Not, of course, that Pioneer has merged with Sharp, either...
