Blu Ray Audio discs

Re-mastered doe not mean better than the original, just different, and unfortunately a lot are very poor, with original vinyl masters being far superior then the ones that have been re-mastered, so buyer beware.
A Blu-Ray can contain a lot more data than a CD so it can have extra features and better quality, so the slight faff of blanking the TV becomes nothing.

I haven't listened to much Blu-ray audio, I can't say so far, it has set my world on fire.
I suspect I had been listening to poor quality pressing.
The custodian of the technology Sony, why don't they just embed SACD codec software on all Blu-ray disks?
I see it as a missed opportunity.

It's often high-res audio 24/192 they contain and/or Atmos mixes.

I just wondered if OP meant Bluray as opposed to Bluray Audio as none of discs have any video content.

I just told you I meant Blu-ray Audio discs, and I changed the thread title to indicate so.

But even with Blu-ray Audio discs, I'm assuming there'd be some visual element while playing the disc? Or am I wrong? Is it just audio and no visual elements at all?

Hmmmm
How are you going to select titles without being able to see them.

My Sony does not have a display.
I purchased a DTS audio DVD and had to use my TV to see and select tracks.

So... I do not think that it's a waste having your TV on.

Mind you, if you're going to play the disc from start to finish.

I have a Blu-ray player with a display. I will never buy any disc player without a display. So that will rule Sonys out, apart from a few other reasons.
