At the end of the day if I am funding some Russian mafia I don't care, one funds Chelsea football club at the end of the day! :)

And people-trafficking for prostitution, the drugs trade, selling weapons to criminals, money-laundering and organised crime are all OK with you, too?

Yep, someone is going to buy them at the end of the day, it was an auction so it might as well be me. What difference does it make?

You do realise that you've handed over your credit card details to Russian mafia.

Just to confirm because the op has asked us to stop talking about this and I agree but no I haven't, I bought mine on eBay paid for in PayPal, I haven't handed nothing to no one! The link was just showing the soundtracks to the op.

I recently purchased the bu ray audio version of Rolling Stones Grrr! album. Part of the reason for buying is because I wanted to compare the blu ray audio against sacd. I have DSOTM and Dire Straits BIA on Sacd and I'm blown away at how good they sound.

The reason why I'm confused is because I expected the stones album to be 5.1 blu ray (ie Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD) but you only get 2.0 in the sound formats (as well as 2.0 PCM). Or these are the only options I appear to get???

don't get me wrong, still sounds good but given I assumed blu ray equated to 5.1 and had hoped to find a format close to Sacd, but cheaper.

I feel a bit let down- Grrrr indeed!

are all blu-ray audio disks 2chn? Or is it just Grrr? Not sure if it is me being dumb for assuming it would (should?) be 5.1??

it's not as if amazon (where I purchased from), nor the pure audio link (see whf news tonight) explicitly state 2.0??

Appreciate any feedback or clarification

Hi Gel,

Cheers, still think most consumers would naturally assume it to be 5.1 etc, but my current take is assume blu-ray audio to be 2.0 unless it explicitly states. If not sure then responding to one of the reviewers on amazon for example to clarify would be my tact.

Indeed, but the fact it's Master Audio or DTS-HD or Dolby TrueHD doesn't mean it must be in surround. The format is just the carrier, and the audio can be two-channel, 5.1, 4.0 or any other combination. It can even be mono, if that's how the original recording was made.

Can you change the audio somehow? Is the one I linked to yours? Because if it is you might be able to change it somehow. Try menus and language settings and see if there are audio choices. It might be possible, but I have never owned one like this before.

I have never seen that before, but I have never owned one like this before. I guess it works like a CD then when it is in?

No, it works like a Blu-ray, which is what it is, but with the music in whichever configuration is stored on it.

In this review it states that there are three different soundtracks they all can't be 2.0 surely?

Has the OP played with the menu and different soundtracks then? Cheers.
