Best way to connect PVR to amp

Currently have a Humax 9200 which I'd like to connect to the Onkyo 607. As the 607 upscales composite inputs would this be the best solution for video and optical for sound? Or should I just stick to scart?

Personally i would scart the pvr direct to tv, and optical to the receiver for sound.

I use a SCART to S-video lead alongside an optical connection and it works a treat - just remember to set the output on the Humax to S-video.
