best sub under 500 quid any suggestions

need a sub for my monitor audio rs6 av pack room size is 4.5 x 5m. i have been pitched the mj acoustic pro 50mkII by sevenoaks and the bk and svs on another forum does any1 have an opinion

Go with bk monolith! its a beast! i replaced a mj ref200 with the monolith its cheaper and better in every respect! louder deeper faster! svs subs are also great but i dont think you can get one for £500 can you?

thanks for the reply whats the mj ref 200 is that better than the mk 50???

how much is the bk?? will it blow my roomaway i dnt want too much bass as it isnt the biggest room??

Its about three models up from the pro50!

The monolith could blow your room away but it doesnt have to! what it can do is real depth to your movie sound! and you can get one for about £400 ish

i heard the mk 50 it sounded awesome but i trust the others are better. will it not drown out the sound with a big hefty sub?? the svs sb12 is 450. do u kno anywhere i could demo them??

The bk is mail order only! im not sure on the svs! have look at the bk XLS300 ive not heard one but i have heard good things about them.

ps a sub will only dominate a room if you turn it up to loud!
