As an alternative to the Zodiac Gold 384 kHz DAC i would also suggest pairing the Cyrus X Power and Mono X 300's with Resonessence Labs Invicta DAC/Pre Amp.

Btw, I just want to be clear that i don't benefit at all by recommending Antelope Audio and Resonessence Labs as i don't deal with these makes.

Rick, may I ask if you have heard both of the products you are advising? If so, can you describe their sound?
satycool said:ThanksI'm sort of re-arranging the room to esp shocase my collection of Cds (esp my rare Fax, Rather Interesting, Chain Reaction labels) and my Cyrus set up but need the speakers away creating a feeling of space in a mid sized room. Am seriously looking into following below speakers as I think they will go well with the DAC XP+ and CDXT SE. Looking for good sound with bass/treble handling and enough watts to handle two Mono X 200. If possible speakers that look good and aren't to big!
B&W Cm8's or hopefully Cm9's(I have to wait longer and get used/ex-demo but have been impressed with the demo I experienced)
Tannoy Revolution DC6T SE (great price for what seems quality speakers and look good too)
Pro Studio 140 Mk2 (though I a but worried about the space and size needed)

I think if you're going for floorstanders with multiple speakers they will all sound boomy in a small room.. What size is your room.. If it is mid sized i can't see it being an issue with any of those as long as you don't box them in a corner or against a wall... Maybe the ProAc's look a bit bulky though asthetically...
Here's some CM9's ex-display for £1300 http://www.canterburyhifi.co.uk/speakers.shtml (you have to scroll down quite a way down the page)
Some Splendor A5 ex-display for £1200 http://www.hifix.co.uk/floor-standing-speakers/spendor/a5.html
As others have said may be worth looking out for some Dynaudio x36.. Not sure about the Tannoy's maybe someone with experience with them could help..
