I enjoyed my HOP around the Berwick St record SHOPS last Saturday although it was a shorter HOP than I would have liked. I started in MVE moved on to Revival, had very little time in Sister Rays and went back to Revival and bought 4 albums.
I bought two Barclay James Harvest albums Gone To Earth and Baby James Harvest, Sting Dream Of The Black Turtles which I have had on CD since 1986, A few of you have you posted you’ve played this so for £6 I thought I’d give it a go and my first impression is an improvement on the CD.
I also bought the first Black Sabbath album on 180g for £12, this sounds better than my original copy, although for 180g it does not seem that heavy.
DIB is your copy a NEMS version?
I probably should have bought something from each shop for comparison but we are back in London at the start of June and July so I will have chance for a better look around..
Sister Ray had got a copy of Derek and the Dominos Layla for £29.99 but I could not work out whether it was new or secondhand, I think it was used so I left it as I thought that may be expensive.
I also left a copy of Ten Years After Cricklewood Green in Revival Records but if they still have it in June I will have a good look at it.
Thanks for the two replies.
EDIT Why has this copied in small print?
