Welcome to the forum.

To answer your question - Yes

If a system is fitted with balanced XLR connections then it is generally recommended that these are used.

Whether the price difference involved in replacing your current interconnects makes it worthwhile will, however, be down to your own ears! Any chance you could borrow a pair to check out before purchasing?

Welcome to the forum and happy new year.

Yes it's worth changing - using balanced cables should offer an improvement in stereo imaging and soundstaging. Another incremental improvement in sound that's worth investing in alongside a proper rack and speaker stands etc.

Chord Chorus or Anthem XLR cables would be a good choice for your system.

I can tell you that switching to balanced cable on my Cyrus kit made a real improvement. I have also directly compared much more expensive open ended cables against my balanced cables that, in my opinion were not as good. The best thing is toget your dealer to let you have a home demo, or go on-line to a company offering a sale or return policy.
