Bad video jitter with Oppo 105 & iPad

Hi experts!

I have an Oppo105 which I am exceptionally happy with except for 1 area. When I hook my iPad mini to the Oppo via the front HDMI/MHL input I get really bad video jitter. The sound is fine but the video jitter is pretty awful. Any ideas/ suggestions???

There's an app called Oppo Remote.

It lets you use your iPad as a remote and in features mentions playback of media files. I don't know if this is the answer, but could be worth a go.
