I like many prog rock albums but, why do WHF seem to think our systems need testing all the time? I want to listen to music, not my system...

I assume they mean when you go to demo equipment at a retailer.

When you operate a forum full of the kind of idiots audiophiles who import fake cables from China (for example) who are only to willing to share how great they are, is it really that surprising?

In what way are the forum members and participants responsible for what the redactors of the magazine use for music and equipment testing?
I like the forum, not very keen on the magazine and by consequence on who works there; they talk/write nonsense for the most part.

Despite the claims, it clearly isn't "all about the music" for many readers of HiFi publications/forums

More pandering to their advertisers, and more to the ones who advertise more given on how some brands are talked about, quantity and ratings.
