Airport Express Interconnect

I am currently using the Monster cables (£29 from Apple) to connect my Airport Express to my Hifi.

Does anybody know of or use any other IC's that are better?

I am still contemplating getting a DAC, so will the Monster cables work well with that too?

Well I was using a Gotham, but I'd be opening myself up to ridicule if I suggest them again... The monsters are probably fine, though you may get more joy out of something like the iChord, though at greater expense.

It won't work if you get a DAC, because you need to use an optical digital out from the AE into the DAC, and then a pair of normal interconnects from the DAC to the amp.

The analogue output from the AEX is ok but not fantastic so don't worry about an expensive cable.

An external DAC will be a big improvement and will only require a basic optical lead. I like Maplin personally as they come with the mini-adaptors you need.

If you're not doing it already, be sure to rip losslessly.

Don't forget to back up your music too!
