[Active/Passive] for Hip-Hip Listening? (£200-300)

I will be using my speakers in a smallish bedroom for use on my computer, listening to hip-hop , new and old and all sub-genres inbetween. So far i've been recommended the LSR305s with something like the Focusrite 2i2. I also own a pair of DT770 80OHMS but nothing to power them atm so obviously i'll need something for those too.

Will the LSR305s be the right type of speaker to get based on what i listen too? i'm just not sure what to do want to upgrade ASAP but i've heard so many different opnions on using active vs passive for general listening.
