A good Centre channel speaker for Proac Studio 140

Hi

I have just bought Proac Studio 140’s to use as the fronts for my home theatre set up. I primarily listen to 2 channel music.

I wanted to get a centre speaker to match the Proacs but the matching Proac centre is much over my budget.

Can someone please advise if another brand of speaker would match tonally with the Proacs. I was thinking of Sonus Faber or even Quad.

I am running the Fronts via Rotel Power amp and the rest directly through a Cambridge Audio AV receiver.

Since this is quite a specialist question, you may find it better to go to the dealer where you bought the Proacs and get their opinion. It will no doubt involve quite a lot of demoing (this is what I had to do when matching a centre to go with a pair of floorstanding Tannoys I had a number of years back).
