720p or 1080i

Hi everyone,

I have a 42inch Panasonic Plasma TH42PV500, Toshiba HD-E1

Fantastic picture quality with hi-def dvds but which setting should i be using on the dvd player 720p or 1080i??

Also i get juddering when the camera zooms or pans! Is there anything i can do to reduce this?

Any advice would be welcome

With a 42" it's gotta be 1080p surely?

Can the HD-E1 receive firmware upgrades via a broadband connection? If so get the latest update, it might solve your problem.

That TV's only an HD Ready spec, from a generation that I don't think supported 1080p or 24fps. I'd go for 720p over 1080i - good story supporting that view here.

I have a 1080p panel, but my V-box is set to 720p. The broadcast pix (especially graphics and diagonal lines) look waaaaay superior.
