7.1 system will Mordaunt Short 914 floorstanders go with kef1000.3 eggs

I have a Sony DA 820 receiver. I have Mordaunt Short 914 floorstanders at the front and 3year old eltax mini waves as my 4 surround speakers a eltax center and a old 80 watts eltax sub. I am planning to replace all my speakers except for the mordant short fronts. My wife likes the 5.1 kef 1000.3 would they go well with the Mordaunt Short fronts as a 7.1 system.

Yes, you could use four KEF speakers as the surrounds, but I'd slot in a Mordaunt-Short MS905 or 905i centre, otherwise the system will sound very odd indeed.
