You're a millionaire, how much would you spend on Hi Fi?
I don't believe that a system costing around £50,000 is actually worth it. Maybe the speakers but not the components.I voted for £50,000 to avoid limiting any component choices 🙂
Sorry. This type of thread has been done to death.
I'm not ashamed to say I'd go big.
Stupidly large horn loaded speakers maybe and a huge hall.
Indeed.A house and a pension fund make you a millionaire these days.

Yup, hi-fi would be way down on the pecking order.Buying the necessary detached house, here in the South-East of England, would use up well over half of the budget.
(Sadly, In an attached house, any more than 2-3 grand on hi-fi and you're effectively into diminished returns).
You're right Dom, £10,000 would get something very decent, but I voted for £50,000 to avoid limiting any component choices 🙂
I doubt even being a billionaire could turn me into someone extravagant enough to spend more than that.
That's why I'd probably spend the bulk on active speakers.I don't believe that a system costing around £50,000 is actually worth it. Maybe the speakers but not the components.
£50k is the new £10k, hadn’t you heard? 🤣😉😛I don't believe that a system costing around £50,000 is actually worth it. Maybe the speakers but not the components.
I love the idea of having a few amps & speaker pairs with a switcher. Or a vintage setup & a modern one 😃it would be more fun to have multiple systems and experimenting with getting vintage gear restored to create different branded systems from different eras and playing with different combinations. Months of endless fun if you're into that kind of thing...
Question was too difficult to understand?I’d keep what I have and pay the mortgage off and invest the rest into property for a holiday let in places like Southwald, Devon and Cornwall maybe Norfolk
