Actually, it gets the spelling wrong a couple of times, then goes back to getting it right again. Facebook gets it wrong because it lifts the text uncorrected from Wikipedia...

I always think any top 5/10/100 list is really difficult, perhaps moreso with music than anything else because it's so mood dependant. Some days you'll be up for some hard rock while others you may be in the mood for classical. I guess it's the tracks that you can go back to time and time again that should stand out. Then of course you have that highbrow attitude come in where you couldn't possibly put down Buck's Fizz's "Making your mind up" for fear of embarrassment! (Actually in thinking about it I'd probably put the Bee Gee's "Staying Alive" in my top 10 as I still think it's a masterful piece of music making that works 30+ years on!)

One rule that should always be in force is nothing from the last 5-10 years should be applicable. How often do you see these kinds of lists topped by the likes of "Titanic" being voted number one film of all time because it was popular at the time the list was made. Things that are fresh in your memory will always stand out.

Anyway, I'm probably just skirting the issue because I can't decide on a definite top 10, and that there would be some very low-brow choices in there! I think maybe best albums is easier as many are disappointing aside from a few tracks. The Black Crowes' "Southern Harmony and Musical Companion" is still probably my number one album for being enjoyable all the way through though...
