Yamaha DSP AX-763 surround problems

Hi there,

I have searched for this issue but can't find it......anyhows, when playing some DVD's from my Samsung DVD player all the speakers light up on the display of my yamaha showing that it is decoding surround. However, on others it does not, even though they say that they have 5.1 sound on the disc. Whats going on? Anyone help? I have my DVD player settings to bitstream.

The discs may default to a non-surround format when loaded. You may have to go into the disc menu and select the surround soundtrack, or use the player's audio selection button on the remote to select the correct soundtrack.
