It's got usb out - wonder if it's got USB in for local FLAC.....🤔
I bought 2 CCA back when Currys had them on offer for £15.It’s a shame we can’t have an updated Chromecast Audio, with gapless playback. The secondhand prices reveal how sought after they remain.
According to their website the standard firmware doesn't do DLNA..... 🤔
but you can request a 'beta' firmware to try out......😖 hard pass then.....
Different price point. The WiiM is slightly cheaper, and has a DAC. In an older budget system the Mini is the best value answer. If you intend to use an external DAC or have a modern amp with a decent inbuilt DAC the Fiio may be better option.![]()

Up to £60 or so, and even more for sealed ones. But definitely more than you or I paid originally! Many are for bidding on eBay which shows there’s a demand.I've been saying ths for ages as they were way ahead of the pack, not sure why they decided to discontinue them if anybody knows would he interested to hear.
What are they going for approx 2nd hand, I've 3 sitting in a drawer not being used at the moment.

Yes, the answer to that question is - probably a lot more people than use the Pro (although they're obviously both popular at their prices).who is actually using the wiim mini as the pro is miles better?
I have a Mini and a Pro. The Mini is upstairs attached to a Denon DM41 by optical cable and is absolutely fine. I got it before the Pro came out have have no plans to replace it.who is actually using the wiim mini as the pro is miles better?

Unless you want Chromecast then it isn't. I have both devices.
You'd have to go to the Pro Plus to get much of an improvement.
I got my Mini befor the Pro came out and have no complaints.who is actually using the wiim mini as the pro is miles better?
Agreed. I have a Mini (also bought pre-Pro) attached to a Mojo 2 and have no immediate need for upgrading. If I wanted one for an area that wasn't ever going to be used in a multiroom situation and the amp had a decent DAC I'd just use a Mini.
