Which will bring out the best in my B&W speakers?

Hello folks, I am hoping you can help me decide .....

... I'm currently debating between a Denon AVR-3311, a Pioneer VSX-LX53 and a Yamaha RX-V2067.

My speaker setup is all B&W. I have read that some of these amps sound warm, some clinical. My current amp is an aging Denon AVR3300.

Which amp is going to get the best from my B&W speakers? I've had a demo of the Yamaha (and the lower 1067 model) and thought it was good, but am wondering if the Denon or Pioneer can better it, particularly in stereo performance, without losing out too much on the AV performance?

Hi Mark_W

I used to sell these B&W and Mission speakers and ime Denon and particularly Yamaha AV amps are tonally very well suited to the speakers. Fwiw, i would use the RX-V2067 for its stereo performance and for its superior coherence with the B&W speakers.

Ultimately though try and also have a listen to the Denon and the Pioneer.

All the best

Just thought I would come back to report in. Auditioned the Pioneer today, and decided that I would go for the Yamaha 2067. I will be picking it up this Thursday.

I was really dissapointed with my Pioneer SC-lx71 when i first set it up then i found some detailed info about using the MACC and used it and well it was a different Amp after fantastic.

So i can understand when i see negative comments in particular about the SC range of Pioneers but is does make me wonder about how it's been calibrated.

It's all about personal preference.... Denon , Yamaha and Onkyo all make great amp's which one sounds best for any one person is preference.

I've had Yamaha and i've checked out Denon and Onkyo and to me Pioneer has the best sound.

So it really is about demo and see what you like best.
