Then on that premise you may as well say that there are no British made speakers at all, as I doubt any manufacturer sources all their components in house or locally.Probably not as they aren't , like a multitude of others, completely UK built.
Well I didn't know that I thought that was one of the main selling points.Probably not as they aren't , like a multitude of others, completely UK built.
It is one of their main selling points, plus I think they sound great👍Well I didn't know that I thought that was one of the main selling points.

I believe they source tweeters from SEAS, Norway. If all of their drive units are UK made I stand corrected....
I rest my case m'lud.....I believe they source tweeters from SEAS, Norway.
Cabinets for the entry level SCM models used to be made in China, but I don't know if that's still true or not.thats why I mention ATC, they make their own drivers, tweeters and cross overs and AFAIK the crossover components are UK sourced caps, etc.
Bear in mind the original question said up to £1,000. Sadly Harbeth’s cheapest are now 2.5 times that much. 😱Did anyone say Harbeth yet?
It's pedantics I know but if the drivers are imported then surely they should state Assembled in the UK.I rest my case m'lud.....,
So I'm 2.5x the original budget, thats still on budget in Hi-Fi terms isn't it? 🙂Bear in mind the original question said up to £1,000. Sadly Harbeth’s cheapest are now 2.5 times that much. 😱
