Then on that premise you may as well say that there are no British made speakers at all, as I doubt any manufacturer sources all their components in house or locally.

thats why I mention ATC, they make their own drivers, tweeters and cross overs and AFAIK the crossover components are UK sourced caps, etc.

I know of no speaker manufacturers in the UK that are completely 'in house'.
Happy to be corrected of course.

Cabinets for the entry level SCM models used to be made in China, but I don't know if that's still true or not.

Bear in mind the original question said up to £1,000. Sadly Harbeth’s cheapest are now 2.5 times that much. 😱

Obviously, some components of a speaker may come from abroad, especially if we are talking Xovers, cabling, filling/damping and connectors. No point squibbeling about this.

If a cabinet and drivers are made and assembled in the UK it's UK made for me.

It's pedantics I know but if the drivers are imported then surely they should state Assembled in the UK.
