Hi all,

I've had a 42" Panasonic plasma which has served brilliantly for about 7 years but I'm beginning to get a pink hue over light colours so it may be time for the big TV pile in the sky.

I can't grumble value wise.

I'm interested in going slightly larger up to max 50" and I don't fancy a curved screen.

Also I'd like a smart TV preferably, to be able to watch content off my laptop without HDMI.

As always money is a factor though I appreciate future proofing is important.

Any ideas on the best TV in the £300 to £500 range.

Obviously the nearer to £300 the better but don't laugh!!!

thanks fo the reply,

Can I just ask, is the Panasonic TX -50CS520B AT £499 a no brainer over the likes of Samsung UE48J5600, Sony Bravia KDL48R553CBU, and Panasonic TX-48CX350B all around the £440 mark?

I appreciate you get what you pay for and I hang on to my sets for a while.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I honestly don't know.

Best advice I can give you, is go to your local Richer Sounds (if you have one), tell them what you want, how many devices you need to connect to the tv, what it will be mainly used for (films/sport/games etc), how much you would like to spend, and they'll point you in the right direction.
