Which Setting?

Hi All,

Just bought Onkyo875 setting it up at the mo, but can't decide on which resolution to go with either to leave it on auto or set as 1080p, i have a full hd 1080p lcd tv, sky hd via hdmi straight into tv and optical into receiver to get Dolby 5.1, pana bd50 & a set of Tannoy F4 Mercury Customs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Given your TV is 1080p, my guess would be Auto should be upscaling anything lower than 1080p up to this level and passing through anything which is already in 1080p, so there shouldn't be any difference I don't think.

It's not actually doing any scaling at the moment as the Sky HD signal is going straight to the TV. ÿYou could try setting the Sky box to Auto and seeing if the 875 improves SD channels. ÿIt's just a case of try it and see!
