Where have all the gamers gone?

Finally ready to take the plunge and buy our new TV and would like your opinion on these TV's. We watch SD TV through Virgin media nearly all the time, but on occasions play PS3 games, Tomb Raider, Gran Turismo etc. Which of the above would give us the better picture. I know the TXP is HD ready and the TXL is full HD, but would it really matter at this level. I have just found that TJ Hughes are selling the plasma at £449 incl a glass stand. The best price for the LCD is around the £550 mark.

Anything else to worry about with any of these 2 TV's.

The vast majority of games are 720P or under anyways (So 'scaled' to 720 or 1080)

So if you only really watch SD and not bothered about bluray then HD READY will do fine (Though personally speaking id buy 1080P in this day and age)
