Let's have some fun and dream a little. Here's my 'Dear Santa' system:

NAD M66 £ 4499
NAD M23 £ 3399
NAD M23 £ 3399
KEF R3 meta £ 1899
KEF S3 stands £ 649

Total £13845

I'd have the M23s in bridged mode. Poor little KEFs!

As I'm not clued up on modern hifi. I would have to base my list on what I've heard playing at my local hifi shop, so it would be.

Hifi Rose RS520 £3399 (maybe 2, one for the front room and one for the dining room)

Fyne Audio F500 £700-£800 (again 2 sets dining room and front room) no idea what stands I'd put the speakers on.

£4199 per system + speaker stands

I'm sure there are better combinations out there but as I said my list is purely based on what I've heard playing at my local hifi dealer, when I took my Rega Planner 3 in for repair.

Much too early to mention anything to do with Christmas .... should be banned until at least November :ROFLMAO: :tearsofjoy:

Now if you want to re-name it lottery winning system fair enough :giggle:
There's a seasonal and stuff for a quid aisle in my local Morrisons and they have Christmas stuff from the last week in August.

It's sat next to the Halloween and Bonfire night junk.

All the seasons at the same time.

They will have Easter eggs on Boxing Day.

Do you know why the M66 is so expensive, because I’d thought it was the M33 without the power amp? I realise it’s not out yet, as I had to look it up!

I know! I thought it was the new M33 but it's not.

No power amp inside. Pricey.

The M33 is a 1 box solution, but they want you to buy a separate amp.

Crafty.

I’m a bit limited with width in the present room, but it think I could squeeze this in:-

dCS Vivaldi stack - transport, DAC, clock and preamp.
Dan d’Agostino power amp - the Progression S350 should be plenty
Wilson Audio Sabrina X - unless the Sasha V will fit
Technics SL-1000R turntable system
Nakamichi Dragon cassette deck
Magnum Dynalab tuner

Should be some change from £300k.

Or a British system:-
Linn Klimax DSM 3 - streamer/preamp
ATC SCM50ASLT in oak
SME Synergy turntable system

at about 1/3rd of the price, and more than enough!

Firstly I would need a new house with bigger room to put my dream system in.....
That's precisely why I haven't listed.

I've massively helped what I do have by reducing nasty reverberations - but due to other compromises, anything more powerful / bassy would currently be wasted.

There are some aspects of my sound that I honestly don't think could be improved - but I'm well aware of what would be better in a purpose built room, with speakers well out into the room, with nothing between them....and no neighbours.

Some large, active speakers would then be considered.
