OK, not a matter of life and death but, just picked up a single length of Chord Epic Super Twin for my centre speaker very cheaply! It's unterminated so......what would you do as far as connections are concerned? I'm intending to biwire so should I use bare wire, I have some Nakamichi plugs with twin screws or should I try and get them terminated professionally??

If you want the best signal possible between your amp. and speaker than bare wire is the best way to do it!

I would go for banana plugs for convenience and also you reduce the risk of shorting out the speaker cables at the amp. Depends on the amp and how spaced out the connectors are though, on my Denon there is not that much room and trying to squeeze Chord carnival speaker cables without the bananas would be an absolute nightmare. The speaker cables are quite thick and the wire isn't very flexible, so bananas made the job alot easier.

Just got myself 16 pairs of banana plugs from ebay for about £23 Puresonic or something!! Got the center fronts and there amp connections done barring the centre which i biwired and there is no way that 2 x anniversary xt is going to fit in the plug!!

Are you going to bi amp the fronts?? i would love to do it, waiting for some cash to come in as i need very long runs of cable(up wall down wall) Hope the touch is proving itself!!

Grdunn123,

Unless it's professionally terminated, i.e. QED AirLock etc, I would go with bare wires.

I have tried those Nakamichi plugs and I always get 'clicks' so I decided to go bare - sounds great.
