Fairport Convention - `What We Did On Our Holidays` I don`t normally break out the Fairport until a little later in the Spring but the weather has been so nice this last week it`s given me the urge.

Stevie Wonder - Songs in the key of life.

I bought this off ebay and I thought it was only fit for the knackers yard, cos there was so much noise on it. I just ant-stat'd it and it sounds brand new, now. Nice

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik

2 x LP re-issue turned up today.

As promised, Jase, Here's my views:

It's gooooooooooood
smiley-smile.gif
Loads of detail that the CD missed and it's just so much more funky on vinyl. Flea's bass get's right into you, so you can't help but nod your head with a smug smirk on your face

'So' is stonking on vinyl and I just looooove Kate Bush. 'Scratch My Back' for me is a grower, didn't hit me straight away but glad I stuck with it.

I've just finished listening to 'So' and I wasn't disappointed. Another 80's floppy vinyl that sound cushty. I'm yet to hear a bad one.

I agree with you, Kate is blinding. All of her stuff sounds superb on vinyl.

'Scratch my back' i've had for a while on CD and I really like it. I'm a little let down by the vinyl though. It sounds great, but it's quite noisy. Not pops and ticks, but background hiss. I'll give it a clean tomorrow and see if it helps.

I found this on E-bay, on Tuesday. It'd been difficult to find. It was 'buy it now' for a tenner, so I was expecting it to be pretty beaten up, but it's just arrived and it's unplayed. Giving it it's first spin, now and the SQ is tip top.

A bit of funky soul on a Saturday morning, you can't beat it!

The Doors - Morrison Hotel. Original 1970 pressing.

This is the first time i've played any Doors on the Gyro. Ooh it's goooood

. It's hard to believe that the record is 41 years old: it's immaculate. Whoever owned it in the past really looked after it.
