If it's Floyd you want, get this one on the TT...

Meddle is my fave PF by a long way.

.

Just bought a copy of this off Fleabay for £12.00 and free postsage, listed as Excellent+ condition....cant wait to receive it and give it a spin.

Also seen an unplayed (still shrink wrapped) copy of "Delicate Sound of Thunder" on another site....so think that will be winging its way to me soon as well :)

And following a Bretty recommendation a copy of "Synchronicity" by The Police for £4.00 :)

Still wrapped? Very nice. It's a brilliant live album, catching Floyd at their absolute pinnacle.

After my discovery of the Iron Maiden Boxset, last weekend, it whet my appetite for some of their stuff on vinyl. So, after some e-bayage, i'm now playing:

The Number of the Beast, and

Somewhere in Time

Maiden stuff still demands a bit of a premium. I thought i'd get 'em for a couple of quid each but, with postage, they were a tenner each. I wanted 'Seventh Son of a seventh son', too, but that went north of a tenner and I don't want it that badly.

Complete change of tangent and spinning:

I believe this is from about 1976...beautiful sounding voice. I suppose quite similar to Carly Simon and Linda Ronstadt in some ways.

Hi Bretty,

Have you got any Zep yet? I seem to recall you saying you were looking to get some of their stuff on vinyl.
Is that right or have I remembered incorrectly?

To my ears their music really works on vinyl, more than most rock acts. Something about that colossal drum sound that really takes off on vinyl, more so than CD.

Enjoy Maiden!!!

This is just so good, clicks, pops, hiss and all! I'm definitely going to look around for a better copy.

As you all know side 2 is just one long piece "Echoes", and the part where the opening segment switches seemlessly into the next at 5 min 30 sec is just one of my favourite moments in music. Just a wonderful bass riff comes in followed by Gilmour's guitar over the top is just sublime. 40 years on it never ceases to give me goosebumps that bit.

All Car Boot purchases, and all in great condition.

Have only played a few tracks from each, so will have to give them all a good listen.

Particularly happy about the Stevie album, as it wasn't an album I was aware of.

Zep III Classic probably the second best Zep album or is it the best, depends on which I've just played.

Iron Maiden - The Number Of The Beast

I'd forgotten what a good album this is. It sounds brilliant too. Any old Maiden fans that don't have their stuff on vinyl, get some, start with this and take a trip down nostalgia avenue. It's round the back of memory lane.

Vincent Price's intro to the Title track sounds great and the intro to 'The Prisoner', once the drums kick in is really impressive for it's realism.
